ANTIQUE AZERBAIJANI MAFRASH PANELS

A pair of exceptionally well preserved marfrash panels from Azerbaijan / Caucasus, possibly Karabagh area. Very nicely rendered design with beautiful colouration. Weft face plain weave patterned with weft-floating broaced- zilli. Of interesting note is the use of thick warp threads to align design.
